Theodore Horton

Ted formed Antaeus Properties in 1988 and has served as President since March of 1990. Antaeus Properties Inc. is a property development and advisory firm producing distinctive residential real estate assets faster, better and smarter for an A list of investors and property owners.

Past and present assignments include:

  • Project management of a Steven Ehrlich designed home in Palo Alto, California.
  • Construction management of a Ricardo Legorreta designed family compound in Maui, Hawaii;
  • Gain project approvals and recruit the project team for an Allan Greenberg designed family estate in Woodside, California;
  • Construction management of a Robert A.M. Stern designed home in the Pacific Heights neighborhood of San Francisco;
  • Acquire land and perform preliminary planning for a 48 acre family compound in Sonoma, California
  • Design/builder of a private home expansion and restoration in southern Marin County.
  • Produced the 2006 San Francisco Decorator Showcase on-time, on-budget with a five month construction schedule.
  • Acquisition, asset management and divestment of over $35 million in multi-family real estate.
  • Antaeus Properties is licensed as a California general contractor and a California real estate broker.

    Antaeus also utilizes its entrepreneurial instincts in the Northern California and Pacific Northwest investment realty markets, creating value added multifamily investment opportunities.

    Previously, Ted acted as consultant to several West Coast and Asian property concerns and financial institutions. His project areas include Phoenix, Arizona; Denver, Colorado; all of California; Seattle, Washington; Portland, Oregon, Maui, Hawaii, Tokyo, Japan; and Metro Manila, Philippines.

    Ted’s military service included five years in the United States Navy's Civil Engineer Corps with several assignments with the US Navy Seabees.

    Ted is licensed as a professional engineer in California. He holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Georgia Tech and a master’s degree in real estate development (MSRED) from MIT.

    He is a member of the CHP 11-99 Foundation, the MIT Center for Real Estate, the Urban Land Institute and served as president of the Golden Gate Wine Society.

    A native of Pennsylvania, he resides with his wife and springer spaniel in Marin County, California.
